Last night, I finally got my fish to mate, and instead of getting the eggs and blowing them up into the bubblenest, the little jerk SWALLOWED them! Is this normal, and will he always do this?

It takes a while for fish to become good parents and the often eat the first few batches of eggs, perfectly normal. Some take to parenting straight away its just luck of the draw
