Hi All

I have just bought a Roma 90 with a Sand Bottom as the wife liked the look off this. The Tank was set-up yesterday with a fluval u2 filter.

I fully cleaned the sand before placeing this into the Tank.

I have been reading, and quite a lot off people have reported Sand as been a bad move as very hard to keep. Also the Plants dont grow well in Sand, have I made a bad move in setting the Tank up with Sand.

Please could someone advise if this will cause more problems then good. I also would like to place plants into the Tank, however reading what people have said has got me confused on what plants work if any.

I was hoping to start adding fish next week.

Thanks

Well, sand can be as good as any other substrate. The point is to use sand AND another type of substrate too. Sand can be a top layer while there'll be gravel at the bottom. Plants will grow and will root easily.

Yes, I am very busy. So accept my apologies since I cannot visit this forum too much. But I'll do my best because I own this website Biggrin .
