My male betta has never had any trouble before. He chewed the fins off one of my cories and left the others alone. I can’t move the cories. Will it’s fins ever grow back. Would more cories help the problem. I only have 3

I kept Bettas too and it was normal scenario that some fish lost it’s fins from time to time. Depending on which Cory you keep, you should undertake some steps.

If you keep Panda Cories you should be worried because Pandas are very sensitive to attacks. They can die even if they aren’t ill, just because of attacks.

Other Cories should be larger than Pandas, right? If you want your Cory’s fins to grow again, buy a small box for Bettas (can be seen in shops usually) and put it there for 1-2 weeks. This box is used for separating more Betta males in one tank. I know your Betta won’t swim too much but it will be very safe way how to return fins into normal. Fins usually grow back in 2 weeks if they were nipped completly.

Yes, I am very busy. So accept my apologies since I cannot visit this forum too much. But I'll do my best because I own this website Biggrin .

fins always grow back in case they weren’t nipped too much. some fish die easily when their fins get nipped.

Hi!
Fins will usually grow back, but not always or sometimes not as normal looking as before! Mad
The cleaner and shallower the cut the nicer the fins will grow back, but if the cut is close to the body they might not grow back at all, or if the fins has been trashed they may grow back bent or crooked! Tears

ps.
just testing to show one of my betta pictures: a young male golden fighter.
