Guys,

What do I have to do with my water in order to make my Demansoni cichlids breed? dH, ph, temperature? Any suggestions? Thanks in advance!

Water isn’t the most important factor, since feeding, age and the tank size are more important. I use to feed them with worms, beef and plants based food of good quality. Frozen spicnach helps too. BTW, it’s possible to buy a frozen food especially designed for african cichlids.

Pseudotropheus demasoni would like a high pH (above 8) and hard water (dKH in double figures) temperature about 26C. A few nice flat rocks or bits of slate on the tank floor and plenty of good food, several females and only one male.
